Ilapo is one of the oldest rural parishes of Guano, with origins tracing back to the Puruhá culture.
MAIN FEATURES
It is characterized by adobe housing and communal agricultural life as it mantains cultural practices tied to farming, livestock, religious festivities, and community organization.
OFFICIAL RECOGNITION
It was officially recognize as a parish on May 29, 1861, Ilapo has preserved a strong blend of indigenous, colonial, and rural Andean traditions.
